Instagram Is down and users are venting about it on Twitter
Over The past few months, Twitter Has Not gotten much love from users. So many changes In their policies, following The ownership changes, Have caused much backlash. However, people continue to use The app. This afternoon, there was an increase In activity on Twitter. All of this stems from Instagram, Which ended up going down earlier today. At least for HHV, Instagram Is back up as of press time.
Instagram Is a part of Meta, Inc. and The company Is always testing new products. Dating back to The early 2010s, on Facebook, any time a site Is down, a new rollout Is coming. In The past, this Has been revamping of Facebook’s timelines. Once Instagram was acquired, this was The addition of direct messaging on IG, helping it become The leading Social media app.
So much of Social media consumption takes place on Instagram. As a result, users are upset when The app Is unavailable. For about an hour today, Instagram was down and people were frustrated. However, that ended up being a huge win for Twitter. Well over 100,000 people took to Twitter to complain about Instagram being down, creating five trending topics over it.
